How it works
To add or subtract, the fractions are put over a common denominator, then the numerators are combined. To multiply, numerators multiply and denominators multiply. To divide, the first fraction is multiplied by the reciprocal of the second. The result is then reduced by dividing the numerator and denominator by their greatest common divisor.
