Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This policy explains how CalculatorsPoint uses cookies and similar browser technologies, and how you can control them. We keep our own footprint deliberately small — most of what the site remembers lives in your browser, not on our servers.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember things between visits. Related technologies include localStorage (browser storage that never leaves your device). Cookies set by us are "first-party"; cookies set by advertising partners are "third-party".

Cookies and storage we use

Strictly necessary & preferences (first-party)

  • Cookie consent choice — remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner, so we don't ask on every visit.
  • Language preference (googtrans) — set if you use the translation feature, so pages stay in your chosen language.

Local storage (never sent to us)

  • Favorites — the calculators you star for quick access.
  • Saved scenarios — inputs and results you choose to save on a calculator for comparison. These stay entirely on your device; clearing your browser data removes them.

Analytics (first-party, anonymous)

  • Our self-hosted analytics count page views, time on page, and visitor country in aggregate. It builds no personal profiles and follows no one across the web.

Advertising (third-party)

  • Google AdSense and its certified partners may set cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your visits to this and other websites. If you decline the consent banner, ads are served in non-personalized mode where supported.
  • Clearly-labelled sponsor and affiliate links may set cookies on the destination site when you click them, governed by that site's policy.

Your choices

  • Our consent banner — accept or decline non-essential cookies on your first visit; your choice is remembered.
  • Google Ads Settings — manage or opt out of ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
  • Industry opt-outsaboutads.info (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (EU) let you opt out of many vendors at once.
  • Browser settings — every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear localStorage; see your browser's help pages. Blocking all cookies may disable features like favorites and saved scenarios.

Changes and contact

We will update this page if our use of cookies changes; the date above reflects the latest revision. Questions? Reach us via our contact page. See also our Privacy Policy.
