How it works

Each letter grade maps to grade points (A is 4.0, B is 3.0, and so on). GPA is the total grade points weighted by credits, divided by the total credits:

GPA = sum of (grade points × credits) ÷ total credits

A course worth more credits has a larger effect on your overall GPA.

Frequently asked questions

What grade scale does this use?
It uses the common 4.0 scale where A is 4.0, A- is 3.7, B+ is 3.3, B is 3.0 and so on down to F at 0.
How do credit hours affect my GPA?
Grades are weighted by credit hours, so higher-credit courses move your GPA more than lower-credit ones.
Can I add more than three courses?
Yes. Use the Add course button to include as many courses as you need, and the remove button to delete any row.
