How it works

Divide marks obtained by total marks and multiply by 100: 435 out of 550 is 79.09%. For multiple subjects, sum both sides first, then divide.
What percentage is a passing grade?
Commonly 33–40% in South Asian boards, 50% in many universities, and 60–70% for a US letter D-to-C boundary. Check your institution — the grade shown here uses a typical international scale.
How do I find how many marks I need for a target percentage?
Multiply the total by the target: for 85% of 550 you need 467.5 marks. Enter your target as obtained marks to check any scenario.
