Which year does this use?
The 2025-26 Australian financial year (from 1 July 2025), including the 12% super guarantee. Tax brackets, HELP thresholds and the super rate change each year, so verify against the ATO.
How is superannuation handled?
Choose "Plus super" if your figure is your salary and super is paid on top, or "Includes super" if your figure already contains super. Super is shown separately and is not part of take-home pay.
What is the Medicare Levy Surcharge?
The MLS applies to higher earners without private hospital cover. Tick "No private hospital cover" to include it. Single-income tiers are used here.
Does it include the low income tax offset?
Yes. The Low Income Tax Offset (LITO) reduces tax for residents. Other offsets are not included.
Is HECS-HELP accurate?
It uses the 2025-26 marginal repayment approach above the $67,000 threshold. Your actual repayment can vary, so check your notice of assessment.
